Everything you need to know about visiting Fairy Meadows — how to get there, best time to visit, accommodation, and what to expect at the base of Nanga Parbat.
Fairy Meadows (Joot) is one of Pakistan's most magical destinations — an alpine meadow at 3,300 metres above sea level that offers a direct, jaw-dropping view of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the 9th highest mountain in the world.
Where is Fairy Meadows?
Fairy Meadows is located in the Diamer District of Gilgit-Baltistan, about 50km from Chilas on the Karakoram Highway. The nearest major city is Gilgit (approximately 2.5 hours by road to the jeep track starting point).
